Each Journey Begins Somewhere

On a cold day in February the 17th (1962) to be exact, a little girl was born. Her journey began. When I was born my dad was beyond excited and had finally got his baby girl. I think our real journey seems to begin after we have aged somewhat. We have learned so many of life lessons that there comes a time when we have to apply them.
As I look towards turning 50 in a few months I have come to realize many things, things that take me "off the beaten path". I find that each day brings opportunities to make changes in our lives. No longer can we continue to make excuses for our mistakes and failures. No longer can we sit around and pass the blame onto others.
I always told my daughter "You are responsible for what you say and what you do."
Our actions speak way louder than any word could possibly do. Finding our real purpose in life means that we have to be honest with ourselves, bare our soul for others to see, show our failures and become vulnerable.
We are the only ones that can make a change, we alone can turn around bad behavior, or finally learn how to say no. Easier said than done right? This is where we find ourselves "Off the beaten path"
More to come....
